Package: comdynamite Title: Process-Based Metacommunity Simulations with Phylogenetic Structure Version: 0.5.2 Authors@R: person("Diogo B.", "Provete", email = "dbprovete@gmail.com", role = c("aut", "cre")) Description: Simulates metacommunity dynamics with the process-based model of Thompson et al. (2020) : density-independent growth that depends on the match between each species' environmental optimum and the local environment, Beverton-Holt competition, Poisson demographic stochasticity, and emigration and immigration among sites. Landscapes can be spatially implicit, with uniform dispersal, or explicit grids with an exponential dispersal kernel and a spatially autocorrelated environment, and the environment can change over time. Species traits (environmental optima, niche breadths and maximum growth rates) can carry phylogenetic signal or evolve under an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process with one or several optima, and interspecific competition can be structured by relatedness. Rule-based assembly without population dynamics (limiting similarity, habitat filtering and neutral assembly) follows Kraft et al. (2007) , and static metacommunities with unimodal species responses follow Peres-Neto et al. (2012) . The model was implemented from the published equations.
